College Union
The members of the college union 2019-20 was elected on August 16th 2019 after a very competitive and enthusiastic election process. The elected union cause into action after the oath taking ceremony and has been instrumental in the realization of variety of events that took place during this academic year.

Union activities for the year 2019-20 kicked off with the Onam celebration which was held on September 6th. It started with chenda melam and pookavadi, followed by various activities by students. The college union also provided a small gift for the cleaning and security staffs which was handed over to them by the former principal, Dr. Jayamohan J.
PRAYAAG
PRAYAAG , the inter college tech fest , which was launched for the first time in our college on 25th,26th and 27th of October with Dr. Achuthsankar S.Nair (Director,Dept of computational biology and bio informatics, University of Kerala) as chief guest . The fest was a collaboration of the three departmental fests – CODEX ( Cs/It) , VISTARA (Ec/Ae) and CARYATID ( civil ) . More than 2000 students participated from various colleges across India. The tech magazines of the three departments and the fest T-shirt was also released during the inaugural ceremony.
Yavanika’20
The intra collegiate cultural fest Yavanika was conducted on feb 29th and March 1st with 35 events .The event was officially inaugurated by the Dr. Abdul Rahiman, Principal LBSITW.The days were packed with fun , enjoyment and competitive spirit of the students .
Diwali Celebration
It was conducted on 27th of October. Festival of Lights was followed by various cultural programs by the students. Lanterns and crackers were also a part of the celebration.
Halloween Day
Halloween Day was celebrated in college by students on 31st of October . The students dressed up in different Halloween costumes and it was followed by a horror movie , Siccin 5.
Escapade’20
Our annual sports meet was held on 25th of January 2020 at University Stadium. Kerala former Santhosh Trophy captain Kannan Rajendran was the chief guest for our escapade’20 .The event saw active participation from students and faculties. The events were conducted to test the mental and athletic capabilities of the students.
Speak for India
Speak for India a debate competition for college students was organised by the college union and debate club associated with Mathrbhumi. Director Adoor Gopalakrishnan ,actress Ahaana Krishnan and many other officials took part in the inaugural ceremony.
Inter college techno cultural fest
The college team has won (2nd Position) the dance competition in Inter college techno cultural fest “ASTHRA 2020” at Musaliar college of engineering, chirayinkeezhu. ( Event Name: Choreonite)
